Join us for the Children’s Reading Circle with Shondra Dickson, who will read be reading books from the MAAHMG’s selection of Children’s Books.
On May 18, from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery (MAAHMG). The event is free and open to the public.
About Shondra Dickson:
Shondra Dickson is a longtime resident of North Minneapolis, has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology, and currently is the District Manager of a Social Security Office. Believing that a strong community is built when the every-day-citizen is active in their community, Shondra takes pride in volunteering and giving back to her community. She has been a mentor for undergraduate college students at Macalester College and for children from the Northside with a Gang prevention program, has organized supply drives, been a volunteer at the CAPRI theater, a volunteer with Minneapolis’s only Black Film Society, has been a model for Black Fashion week, and volunteers for the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery.
