Printmaking Workshop with CRICE

Saturday, May 4, 2024

With inspiration from the iconic Black Panther Party posters from the 1970’s, come learn about the history of Silk Screen Printing with Connor Rice (CRICE).

On Saturday, May 4th, at the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery, CRICE will teach a printmaking workshop from 11:30am – 2:00pm. This event is free and open to the public. Free parking in the ramp attached to the building.

Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images onto a surface, most often onto paper or fabric. Traditional printmaking techniques include woodcut, etching, engraving, and lithography, while modern artists have expanded available techniques to include screenprinting. In this workshop, you will print your very own tote bag or poster to take home.

About CRICE:
CRICE is a mixed-media artist, curator, and organizer from Minneapolis. His practice uses art to document the issues and motifs of pan Africanist realities across space and time.
