Reviving Forgotten Treasures, Reviving Memories
Exhibition Opening Reception

Saturday, January 11, 2025

Join us for the opening reception for the exhibition “Reviving Forgotten Treasures, Reviving Memories”.

Come see the new exhibition “Reviving Forgotten Treasures, Reviving Memories” which features jewelry art created by participants in a 10-week workshop facilitated by artist Amy Wilderson.

Artists in the exhibition include Amy Wilderson, Tamika Gibson, Karen Butler, Laura Butler, Michelle Thayer, Jennifer Higgs Stewart, Nahid Khan, SpinWeaver, and Michele Lackey.

The artists featured in the exhibition took old pieces of jewelry which had significant meaning to them and transformed them into new works while still preserving memories. Come meet the artists, hear their stories and see their dynamic jewelry.

The exhibition is a collaboration with the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery (MAAHMG), COMPAS, and teaching artist Amy Wilderson.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking in the ramp attached to the building.
