Join Us For the Visionary Voices Open Mic.
Let’s celebrate our youth as they complete the Visionary Voices creative writing and spoken word program with an open mic show. The students, Macaria Belfrey, Shaudae Edwards and Naveya Edwards, will share some of their work developed during the program. The event will be hosted by artist Joe Davis who facilitated the Visionary Voices Program during his teaching artist residency at the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery. The open mic is open to the public, and all ages can perform.
Join us for an evening of spoken word, poetry and music. Light refreshments will be available. The event is free.
The Visionary Voices Program was funded by a State Legacy Fund grant from the Minnesota State Legislature.
